Reed is recruiting on behalf of a recognised city centre client who are looking for an experienced Sales and Events Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role is perfect for someone who combines skills in sales, marketing, and event management, and is ready to showcase their ability to bring in new business and create memorable events that exceed client expectations.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Engage in business development activities to build and nurture relationships with potential clients, from generating opportunities to securing new business and maximising growth.
  • Schedule and conduct viewings and client meetings to showcase venue offerings.
  • Meet targets by initiating contact with new leads, re-engaging past or existing clients, and conducting follow-up communications.
  • Interpret client briefs into actionable plans, ensuring all requirements are met on time and to specification, from enquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication for efficient project management.
  • Develop promotional themes and proposals for client presentations.
  • Oversee event production, including sourcing and purchasing necessary items.
  • Coordinate events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Perform general office duties, handle new enquiries, book staff, and manage reception responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in events management with a strong sales background.
  • Exceptional telephone manner, interpersonal skills, and a polished presentation.
  • Proactive in seeking sales opportunities and adept at meeting targets.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a passion for creating unique events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Qualified first aider with an up-to-date certificate.
  • A team player willing to work flexible hours to ensure project success.
  • Creativity and innovation to differentiate events from competitors.
  • Experience in sales or account management is essential.
