We are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s most established law firms with their recruitment of a Corporate Secretary based in Leeds.

This role is 37.5 hours per week, working Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm, with the opportunity for hybrid working, three days in the office, two at home. Salary of £25,768.

Corporate secretarial experience required.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Fee Earners to organise workload on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide fast and accurate typed material (to include copy/audio typing).
  • Maintain Fee Earner diary / be aware of their day-to-day commitments.
  • Preparation of inward and outward post.
  • Work with clients taking instructions and maintaining information.
  • Help completing monthly bills.
  • Use precedents as directed and delegated by Fee Earner to prepare and draft documents as directed and supervised.
  • Prepare appropriate forms under instruction of the Fee Earner.
  • Inputting and submission of time recording.
  • Opening files in a timely manner ensuring all relevant money laundering documentation is completed to comply with the SRA.
  • Maintain an efficient filing and administration system that allows for prompt retrieval of information and material.
  • Document preparation including house style, schedule levels, stripping out and reformatting documents, tables of contents, formulas, track changes and document comparison packages.

  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work well both individually and as a member of the team.
  • Proficient with IT hardware and software including multi-functional devices and Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Professional and self-confident individual with exceptional communication skills.
  • Flexible, reliable, punctual and adaptable.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to supporting the department.
