We are currently looking for Production Operatives to work for on site at Mars Birstall.

Casual Production Operative work on a production line, general housekeeping within a factory, picking and packing snacks, and treats for the pet industry.MARS has an on-going need for Production Operative's who meet their performance, attendance and conduct requirements. MARS regularly review these requirements and will allow those who are meeting the needs consistently to apply for a regular position on shift once a vacancy arises.

Shifts: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00pm - 7:00 am. The Production lines operate 24 hours a day 7 days per week.Salary varies depending on shift rotation: Days - Between £12.76- £16.59

Purpose:To assist with the smooth and successful operation of the lines within the FactoryTo carry out routine operating tasks, packing, operating, start up and shutdown to assist in meeting operational targets whilst achieving standards in safety hygiene, quality, value and service

Key Accountabilities:Operates automated equipment (process and packing) to the required standards, including starting up, shutting down, changeovers and routine diagnosticsMust be flexible across the lines using transferable skills to help colleaguesUnderstands and applies safety and hygiene standardsFinds ways of continually improving their own performanceUnderstands when and whom to seek assistance during breakdownsCommunicates issues to other associates as requiredRespond to line alarmsConduct routine quality checks on the lineHousekeeping and hygiene tasks
