Arla Foods are recruiting an Agricultural Manager to cover farms across the North ofEngland. This is a home based regional opportunity, and will include frequent visits to ourFarmer Owners. Within this role you work with both Arlas cooperative members here in theUK, and direct suppliers, to achieve consistently high standards of milk quality and supply inorder to effectively facilitate the governance processes within the UK Cooperative.

Responsibilities of the role...

As Agriculture Manager you will act as the key support link between the members, directsupplying producers and Arla Foods UK. Recognised within your own area as the keycontact to support the delivery of dairy farming best practice, you will demonstrate RedTractor Assurance - Dairy Scheme (RTA DS) along with driving the Arlagrden qualityassurance standards.

  • Contact point with Arla members driving strong democracy, settlement and training and support the communication between Arla Foods Management and the farmer members.
  • Executes operational plans or delivers high-profile/specialist projects with a direct impact on functional success.
  • Challenge processes and practices identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Central point of member contact and provide secretary services (District Council, District Meetings)
  • Support our sustainability agenda on farm and ensure that we build knowledge, engagement, buy-in and support action among farmers, farm advisors and the agricultural industry.
  • Supporting the development and execution of Arlas added milk concepts and handling milk quality and brand risk issues with farmers
  • Arrange meetings on a farm for external and internal visitor and manage the communication flow with our owners member meetings physical and digital

Skillset and experience

To be successful in this role you will have strong experience working in Agriculture. You willbe able to demonstrate technical and commercial skills acquired across a wide range ofdemanding roles within the agricultural industry whilst managing key relationships acrossmultiple stakeholders. An excellent communicator, with strong empathy and able todemonstrate self-motivation and discipline with the ability to work flexibly regarding bothlocation and hours of work.

Within this role you will be required to provide a full out of hours service on a rota basis.
