Hybrid working with some office-based days in Leeds city centre.

Our client, a leading organisation within the professional services sector with offices in Leeds city centre is recruiting for an experienced Team Leader.

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for a successful and productive team of 6.

You will be responsible for the day to day; ensuring excellence in delivery, leading from the front, overseeing process and ensuing the team deliver accurate, quality work. You will manage performance, one to ones, development and drive success through your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Performance: Use a variety of exception reports to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and manage performance, quality, and productivity within the team.
  • Leadership & Support: Provide direction and support to team members, offering guidance, coaching, and regular feedback through one-to-one meetings and development plans.
  • Workload Distribution: Ensure that workloads are fairly distributed among team members and that team resources are effectively managed, including scheduling breaks, managing holidays, and tracking absence.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the team and help implement them.
  • Team Development: Conduct performance reviews, 12-week reviews for new team members, and facilitate personal development plans.
  • Administrative Support: Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage the administrative processes related to absence and holidays.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team to achieve targets and maintain high levels of performance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver feedback constructively.
  • Customer Service Focus: Demonstrates a strong customer service ethos and ensures service quality is always maintained.
