About the Role
As the Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering an operationally focused HR service, providing expert advice and support while managing employee relations cases. You will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to implement business strategies, proactively address challenging situations, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation. You will also work with key stakeholders across the organization to advise on current legislation, identify risks, and offer effective solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations
  • Ensure timely, fair, and consistent handling of HR matters in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Facilitate managers in addressing Employee Relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, absence management, and capability investigations/hearings.
  • Develop and maintain robust casework recording and reporting systems linked to our HR system.
  • Minimize the risk of Employment Tribunals through effective case management.
  • Set direction, establish performance measures, and monitor service quality from indemnity insurers.
  • Coach and mentor managers to enhance their people management skills.
  • Lead on TUPE processes, consultations, and Employment Tribunal cases.
  • Team Management:
  • Act as Deputy in the absence of the Head of HR when HR advice is required.
