Looking for a Budget Analyst for a Retail Client, who will assist maintaining records and create reports and proposals while working to analyze data and recommend funding for various programs.Duration - 6 monthsLocation - West YorkshireContract - Inside IR35Hybrid role - 2 days onsite

Budget Analyst required to oversee Enterprise Portfolio spending to ensure that funds are allocated appropriately and used according to plan. This person will assist maintaining records and create reports and proposals while working to analyse data and recommend funding for various programs.

Budget Analysts will also evaluate program effectiveness to determine if redistribution of funds is needed.

Some primary duties include:

  • Developing organizational budget with Project and Programme Managers
  • Reviewing proposals for completeness, accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Consolidating the organizational budget for review
  • Vetting Change/funding requests for merit and authenticity
  • Monitoring spending and keeping the organization within its set budget
  • Preparing reports and estimating future financial needs
  • Defending budget recommendations with data and evidence-based analyses
  • Weekly and monthly commercial and operational reporting,
  • Work with the team to consolidate and analyse the Budget and Forecast
  • Variance analysis
  • IT proficient and skilled with excel, utilising their skills to come up with new solutions to challenges/tasks

Person Specification & Qualifications:

Ability to work flexibly across the team when required. you will be expected to use your skills and experience to fill any shortfalls in capacity across the PMO team as required.Ability to work on own initiative;

organising and prioritising your own workload to set and often tight deadlines.Clear communication skills;

the role will involve query management and issuing of communications / guidance via mailbox/Teams.Excellent IT skills including Excel and other Microsoft applications. As part of the role you will be exposed to tools and applications such as VBA, Power Automate, ) to collect and analyse financial information and so an aptitude for learning new IT skills is essential.Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working in a finance role at a similar level.
