MERJE is working with our client, a leading name within the Property and Construction Industry, to find an astute Finance Analyst for their West Yorkshire Office

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the business and join a leading team.

You would be responsible for providing financial and commercial reporting and analysis and preparing Management accounts, participating in the forecasting and auditing process and monitoring key metrics

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire 

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:

  • Prepare management accounts for core business and joint ventures with variance analysis and provide commentary
  • Monitor and report on key financial and non-financial metrics
  • Assist with monthly and weekly forecasting, including sales updates
  • Ownership of the P&L and supporting schedules to ensure forecasting is accurate
  • Participate in period-end processing, journals to process actuals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Contribute to interim and full-year audits, including joint venture audits
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and with annual budget as required

Required knowledge and experience for the Financial Analyst role:

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Experience in a management accounting team
  • Experience working in a similar role in the Property or Construction Industry would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience of COINS and / or Anaplan ERP systems desirable
  • Experience of working with Joint Ventures would be desirable
  • Ability to relay technical financial information to non finance
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
