Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Leeds who are recruiting an Assistant Financial Planning & Analyst Accountant to join their team. You will participate in the delivery of annual revenue, capital budgets, statutory accounts and associates forecasting & reporting.

Location: Leeds City CentreJob Type: Full-time, Permanent (hybrid)Salary: £37,900 - £40,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Resolve Issues: Maintain a monthly financial control process to oversee service delivery and address any problems.
  • Adhere to Timelines: Work within the annual financial timetable to achieve outcomes.
  • Collaborate: Coordinate with Finance and other business colleagues to meet corporate and financial goals on time.
  • Provide Guidance: Prepare and follow comprehensive financial guidance notes.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with legislation, professional guidance, audit advice, Accounting Standards, and other requirements.
  • Review Financial Reporting: Ensure coding and financial reporting comply with budgets, performance indicators, and guidelines.
  • Support Training: Assist in training and development for finance and other business colleagues.
  • Respond to Requests: Handle ad hoc report and information requests, including Freedom of Information requests, promptly and to a high standard.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Part qualified (CIMA/ACCA etc)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a multi-functional finance team
  • Experience working within a similar role
