Job Purpose

  • Undertake audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, from planning to completion
  • Monitor work progress, ensuring constant communication and compliance throughout
  • Allocate audit work in the field and the office
  • Ensure full agreement of client work, negotiating likely fees to maximise fee recovery
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being their go-to person for support
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development
  • Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance
  • Delegate work to and mentor an audit team, supporting their learning and development
  • Represent the firm at networking opportunities and support the provision of marketing and sales services

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA, ACCA, or ICAS qualified with demonstrable experience in UK practice
  • A proven track record of leading audits from planning to completion
  • Adept at accounts preparation and leading all commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Experience managing a team of accountants
  • Excellent work ethic and hands-on approach
