Audit Assistant Manager - Listed ClientsAmbition is working with a mid-tier audit firm seeking an Audit Assistant Manager for their corporate audit team in the Leeds office.This is an exciting time to join an office that has been growing rapidly over the past couple of years. You will play a crucial role in advising smaller clients who may lack established structures, while also working with large corporates and listed businesses, including FTSE, LSE, and AIM listed clients.The firm offers excellent flexibility and a favourable work-life balance compared to larger firms. Prior to the assignment:
- Attend pre-assignment discussions with the audit team.
- Allocate work to junior members of the audit team.
- Provide on-the-job training to junior staff, review their work, and provide feedback.
- Work to plan and budget.
- Advise the manager.
- Suggest logical solutions to problems.
- Prepare a detailed assignment memorandum incorporating appropriate analytical review.
During the assignment:
- Clear manager and partner review points and follow up on any outstanding queries.
- Respond to client queries and concerns efficiently and professionally, dealing directly with senior management when necessary.
- Provide advice to clients and demonstrate knowledge of business issues.
- Provide a detailed analysis of time charged on every assignment to facilitate billing and future planning.
Requirements:
- ACA, ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- External auditing experience, particularly in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
- Experience with statutory audits and half-year review engagements in compliance with UK Auditing Standards, from planning to completion.
- At least 18 months of experience working in a UK audit firm, with up-to-date exposure to IFRS and listed clients.
