Description
- Oversee and manage customs and excise duties within the tax department.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.
- Develop and implement efficient tax strategies.
- Keep up to date with changes in customs and excise legislation.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff members.
- Participate in audits and investigations as required.
- Contribute to the overall financial strategy of the company.
Profile
A successful Customs and Excise Finance Manager should have:
- A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Knowledge of customs and excise legislation.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant financial software.
