Role: Finance Business Partner Location: Leeds / Manchester with travel across the North of the UK. If you're a commercial finance expert with a background in partnering with operations, then this role could be a great fit for you. You will be working closely with the regional operations teams across the North, providing insight and understanding and ensuring the group meets its financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with regional operations teams across various sites / branches (Yorkshire and the North), providing insight and understanding, ensuring the group meets its financial objectives.
- Standardise and formalise processes as well as drive rigour across the national network.
- Have a desire to "get under the bonnet" and "have a view", dissect operational processes and propose KPIs to measure and drive productivity and make the right commercial decisions
- Regular reporting of financial performance and KPIs and associated commentary
- Ownership of budget process for the Region(s)
- Partner with branch managers on capital project approvals and reporting
- Provide assurance to the FD that revenue & costs are appropriately recognised and leakage is minimised
- Review period end close, identifying opportunities or risks that may appear
Stakeholders:
- Heads of Ops, Ops Finance Director, Head of Commercial Finance as well as Operations, People Teams, Sales and Marketing personnel.
- Responsible for financial performance for the UK in the North & Scotland
About you.You will ideally be a qualified accountant with extensive business partnering experience who enjoys working closely with operational teams, providing insight and expertise to make the most of commercial business opportunities.
