Are you ready to protect the bottom line of a dynamic company while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours? Our SME client (T/O £2M) is seeking a skilled Company Accountant to join their growing business, offering full finance control and a chance to make a real impact.

In this standalone financial role, you'll handle a comprehensive finance remit. If you love every aspect of finance—from ledgers to management accounts and everything in between—this position is perfect for you. Our client operates in the tech space, providing a future-proof sector. You will work closely with the senior leadership team (SLT), fostering a collaborative approach to company finances that provides clear direction and meaningful commentary.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage all-encompassing finance responsibilities in this standalone role.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to meet deadlines, offering crucial insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Handle invoices, including project-related and ad hoc invoices.
  • Efficiently manage invoice queries and provide copy invoices as needed.
  • Conduct daily banking activities and accurately post cash transactions.
  • Oversee credit control activities, including bad debt analysis and resolution.
  • Manage supplier invoices from posting to payment, addressing queries promptly.
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Facilitate supplier payments while maintaining financial discipline.
  • Provide daily cash flow reporting to support liquidity management.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily for transparency and accuracy.

**Qualifications:**

- AAT Level 4 or equivalent.- Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in financial management and accounting principles.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
