Finance Manager – Innovative Start-Up Company

Salary: Up to £50k
Join an exciting journey with a pioneering start-up business as their Finance Manager playing a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing financial processes, controls, and systems and overseeing / developing the finance function. This diverse position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a purpose-led organisation from the outset committed to making a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including monthly management accounts preparation, month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management and transactional finance.
- Establish and optimise financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks from early inception.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Finance lead for new system implementation and integration.
- Partner closely with senior management to provide insightful guidance and support business growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), ideally with 1-2 years post qualification industry experience.
- Ability to work in a start-up/ SME environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standard and excellent analytical skills.
- Hands-on approach with the flexibility to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
