This position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while leading a high-performing team.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable (AP) & Expense team, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Oversee year-end group reporting, statutory financial statements, and audit planning.
- Prepare and submit company tax returns, VAT filings, and manage responses to tax audit enquiries.
- Work with external tax advisors to ensure accurate tax computations and timely payments to HMRC.
- Conduct internal control testing across business areas and provide comprehensive supporting evidence.
- Review and enhance the internal control system to improve compliance and efficiency.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management.
- Support the finance team in smooth month-end and year-end financial closures.
- ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in managing accounts payable, tax returns, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Proven experience in leading finance teams and improving operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Competitive salary of £60,000 - £65,000 (DOE) plus an annual performance-related bonus.
