Hays Senior Finance are exclusively partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding SME business based in Leeds. Their mission is to revolutionise the online experience by offering unique and high-quality service to customers. As they continue their rapid growth journey, they are seeking to appoint a talented Senior FP&A Lead Analyst/ Manager to help drive our financial strategy forward.

As the Senior FP&A Lead Analyst/ Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping shape the financial future of the business. You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing insights that will guide the strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including the executive team and investors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform financial strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Experience required

  • Professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within an eCommerce or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Experience and training within a Top 4 or Top 10 accounting firm.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with good working knowledge of Excel
  • Proven experience in complex, fast-growing and entrepreneurial environments, such as start-up, private equity, owner-managed, or investor-led operations.
  • The right to work in the UK, without expiry, such as citizenship, ILW or pre/settlement status.
  • Experience in E-commerce, Data Specialist, FinTech, Digital Platforms and similar would be a distinct advantage.
