This is a newly created role for a highly acquisitive private equity backed SME in West Yorkshire.The role will play a crucial role within this financially robust organisation, and take responsibility for building models, providing commercial insights and visibility to the business, influencing key business decisions and results.You will work closely alongside the FD and CEO and take overall responsibility for the financial planning, building models and providing financial insight and recommendations to the board of directors.The role would be ideally suited to someone ACA/Big 4 with a corporate finance/advisory background, but this is not essential.Reporting to the CEO the main responsibilities are:
  • Management of the budgeting, financial forecasting and long term cash management processes
  • Creation of true business partnering across the organisation influencing non-finance senior members of management to drive growth and efficiency mindset, ultimately to deliver its operational and financial targets.
  • Preparation and analysis of management reports, driving company performance through risk and opportunity management
  • Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and investors
  • Enhance reporting frameworks and financial models to improve efficiency, timeliness and accuracy
  • Support all business areas in providing ROI evaluations, supporting business decisions and challenging business priorities
  • In depth understanding and analysis of the customer journey, identifying true cost to serve, customer gross margin and pricing analysis etc
The successful candidate will:
  • Be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Essential
  • Have experience in Big 4 corporate finance/advisory - Highly Desirable
  • Have a strong Commercial Finance/FP&A background - Essential
  • Have the ability and experience to work in a fast-paced dynamic, PE backed business - Essential
