RM Recruit are working with Yorkshire based Multi Academy Trust to recruit an Interim Chief Financial Officer for their senior management team. This 6 - 9 month assignment will see you operated as the "number one" in finance and be responsible for all aspects of Trust finance to ensure financial systems, processes, and reporting are robust and fit for developing the Trust's longer-term financial strategy.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

  • Act as the named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary and carry out accountabilities and responsibilities set out in the Academies Trust Handbook.
  • Provision of high quality leadership and management of the Trust’s internal-facing finance function to enable the Trust to run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively in the delivery of its core aims.
  • Leading the finance team and ensuring effective financial management.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to drive financial planning and analysis.
  • Board level liaison and effective communication with the ESFA

We are seeking candidates who hold fully qualified status and who have proven experience in Multi Academy Trust settings (essential). This role can operate on a hybrid basis but regular presence at the Trust head office will be required. Part time working can also be an option if you can demonstrate the sector knowledge and ability to quickly adapt to a new Trust environment.
