Operational Finance Manager | LS15 – Thorpe Park | Up to £40k | Office Based | Healthcare Operational Finance ManagerDue to the ambitious growth plans of the board, our client is seeking to appoint a high calibre, credible and experienced Operational Finance Manager to support the next part of their journey. This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operational Finance Manager located in Leeds and will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the business. This position involves the day-to-day management to oversee the entire finance process, & act as the face of finance to support business growth. The Operational Finance Manager will work closely with internal teams to maintain effective financial practices reporting directly into the Head of Finance & Commercial.The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and possess strong leadership, management and organisational skills. This opportunity allows the correct candidate to join the team at an exciting time and join a supportive and collaborative work environment with ambitious growth plans.Responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounts administration, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain and improve financial administration procedures.
  • Overview of cashflow cycle providing detailed and timely reports
  • Lead the development of short- and medium-term cash forecasting approaches, working with the FD to actively manage the entire working capital cycle
  • Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
  • Support capital planning and budgeting exercises, ensuring value for money by challenging ROI and exploring options for financing to achieve business aims
  • Work closely with Credit Control and Billing teams to ensure invoice accuracy, improve cash flow and identify process failure
  • Assess and manage credit risks by evaluating and searching client creditworthiness.
  • Set credit limits for new and existing clients in accordance with research & company policies.
  • Negotiate payment terms and ensure the company systems replicate payment terms agreed. Escalate unresolved debts to legal or debt collection agencies.
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports for the management team. Support strategic decision-making by providing financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Lead projects aimed at improving key business processes and systems to support company growth.
Person specification:
  • The ideal candidate will have a finance background, with experience in capital accounting, cash flow management, forecasting and process assessment and implementation
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills paired with commercial management expertise
  • Experience with business planning and contract management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good to work with and shares the values of the business and board
