My client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger candidate who has gained transferable skills in reconciliations, invoicing and payment runs, but also someone who is ready to lead a team and be a point of contact for 5 Purchase Ledger Clerk's. Description
- Ensure efficiency through supplier maintenance process
- Perform the duties of an Accounts Payable Clerk for specific suppliers
- Act as the escalation point for team members and internal escalations.
- Support in training new team members in Company's processes and controls.
- Posting monthly and weekly payment runs
- Manage the Supplier maintenance process including new suppliers and amendments.
- Assist team members in solving problems by answering specific questions while providing assistance and coaching to the team.
- Manage the PO/Invoice dispute process and ensure internal KPIs are met.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Team Leader should have:
- Strong purchase ledger experience and understanding
- Proven experience in Senior/ Team Leader position is preferred but not essential
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
