We’re Hiring: Purchase Ledger Team Leader | Horsforth, Leeds
Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for leading and developing a high-performing team? We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join our growing business in Horsforth.
In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the purchase ledger function while leading and mentoring a team of up to 4 people. You'll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations – all while driving continuous improvement and supporting the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the purchase ledger team with day-to-day operations
- Oversee invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, and payment runs
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
- Act as the key point of contact for supplier queries and internal stakeholders
- Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve individual and team goals
- Support month-end close and reporting activities as required
? What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Strong people management or team leader experience
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong systems knowledge (ERP systems, Excel)
- Confident communicator with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
