Paraplanner/Trainee Financial AdvisorSalary: up to £45,000 DOEWorking pattern: HybridLocation: LeedsWe’re on the lookout for a Paraplanner to provide vital support to our Financial Advisors by conducting research, preparing client reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves analysing client needs, preparing financial plans, and managing the technical aspects of the financial advisory process, allowing advisors to focus on client relationships and strategy.

After the initial office-based period, this role can be flexible with WFH up to 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on financial products, including pensions, investments, insurance, and tax strategies.
  • Analyse client portfolios, identifying areas for improvement or opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare detailed financial plans and recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Draft suitability reports and investment proposals based on advisor instructions.
  • Ensure all financial plans and recommendations meet FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Attending client meetings to gather and review information, including fact-finding and risk profiling.
  • Provide clients with updates on their portfolios or plans as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) or working towards it.
  • Previous experience in a paraplanning, financial planning, or advisory support role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Experience using Microsoft, Aviva and IO
  • Chartered Financial Planner designation or progression towards it.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and FCA guidelines.
  • Ability to assess complex financial information and provide clear solutions.
