Fluid Power Technician

Due to continued expansion, we have vacancies for Fluid Power Technicians to work within our well-established and experienced team, ideally based in the Leeds area and regionally. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the role:

As a Fluid Power Technician, you will have a sound knowledge of fluid power engineering and work as part of a customer-facing team. This is a hands-on engineering support role involving maintenance and upkeep of Fluid Power Systems.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Out of hours and weekend work may be required on an ad-hoc basis.

Key responsibilities as our Fluid Power Technician will include:

  • Servicing of hydraulic systems onsite and in-house
  • Workshop assembly and testing of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Onsite air leak surveys and following up with remedial work
  • Assembly and installation of hydraulic hoses and fittings
  • General mechanical engineering
  • Engagement with customers and branch staff

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent general engineering & hand tool skills
  • Fluid power experience
  • Good time management skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering (or similar experience)
  • CETOP stage 1 hydraulic expertise (or similar experience)
  • Basic pneumatics skills at Level 1
  • Proven record in the MRO environment for hydraulic systems
  • Confident in fully identifying hose assemblies for replacement or cataloguing
  • Understanding of basic hydraulic systems and their implications
