We are supporting a food manufacturer based in Leeds who are looking to add to their NPD team.

As an NPD Technologist you will lead the design and development of complex food products, ensuring scalability, performance, and quality of product formulations while mentoring junior team members and acting as a key technical resource.

On Offer

  • £29,000 - £35,000 DOE
  • Monday – Friday 
  • 8:30am - 4:30pm (flexible)
  • Home working 2/3 days a week

Duties

  • Lead the design and development of complex food products.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and quality of product formulations.
  • Mentor junior innovators and facilitate their growth.
  • Act as a key technical and innovative resource within the team.
  • Oversee the quality of product formulations and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Design and implement innovative food products and processes.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of formulations and suggest improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for new innovators.

Experience needed

  • Deep technical knowledge in food science and product development.
