Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in forklift truck (FLT) operation, stock control, machine operation, and general higher-skilled labor tasks. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift Truck (FLT) Operation: Safely operate FLT to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse.
- Stock Control: Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Machine Operation: Operate and maintain warehouse machinery, ensuring all equipment is used safely and efficiently.
- General Labor: Perform higher-skilled labour tasks as required, including assembly, packaging, and quality control.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve warehouse goals and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing / production environment or similar role.
- Valid FLT license and experience in operating forklifts.
- Strong understanding of stock control procedures.
- Experience in operating machinery and use of power tools is beneficial
- Ability to perform higher-skilled labor tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
