Area, Wakefield, Leeds and Kirklees

Veritas Education is seeking Early Career Teachers to support schools across the Wakefield and Kirklees areas. Due to increasing local demand and a high volume of vacancies for September 2025, we are currently looking for ECTs for both flexible work and long-term temporary contracts. These roles are ideal for those seeking their first long-term teaching position or looking to build experience before committing to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and manage a primary school class, ensuring high-quality learning experiences across KS1 and KS2.
  • Adapt lessons and approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Work closely with other teachers and teaching assistants to support the educational development of children.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess students' progress and contribute to reports and meetings.
  • Support the wider school community and engage with parents where necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Newly qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Strong ability to adapt teaching methods to a variety of learning styles and needs.
  • Passion for working with primary-aged children and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, including teachers and teaching assistants.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to classroom management.
