Our client, a leading legal 500 law firm, are recruiting for a Clinical Risk Paralegal to join their team in Leeds. The role would suit a paralegal with upwards of 2 years' defendant clinical risk or claimant clinical negligence experience, who can demonstrate the ability to deal with a demanding caseload in a busy clinical negligence/ personal injury department. The firm are also happy to consider paralegals with strong ELPL/ serious injury experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling your own caseload of lower-level value clinical risk claims brought against the NHS and private medical providers.
  • Supporting fee earners on more complex, higher value to catastrophic injury claims and providing support throughout the litigation process.
  • Liaising with medical experts and reviewing evidence.
  • Negotiating settlement.
  • Drafting legal documents ana instructions to counsel.
  • Legal research.
