NextGen Teachers are currently working in partnership with a two-form entry Primary School in South Leeds who are seeking to recruit a full-time Early Years Classroom Support on a temporary to permanent contract in the new year.

This role will be to work in the early years department, supporting children with their physical, social, emotional and academic development by utilising both indoor and outdoor provisions.

There is a strong emphasis on Speech and Language and Phonics across the EYFS department as many of the children at this school need support in this area. The school uses the Read Write Inc scheme and support staff who are familiar with this scheme would be preferable.

Early Years Classroom supports applying for this position MUST have:

  • Level 2 or 3 in Childcare
  • A minimum of 2 years of educational experience in the UK
  • Experience supporting in Nursery and/or KS1
  • Extensive experience with Phonics intervention groups and screening
  • Experience working with SEN children
  • DBS on the update service
  • 2x professional references
