Kingsley Consulting are recruiting a number of Estimator roles for a leading External Envelope Contractor. Our client is well established, one of the UK's leading contractors and continuing to achieve phenomenal growth! It's a very exciting time to be part of this journey for anyone joining the business now.The Estimator will take a lead role in managing waterproofing or façade tenders from the initial enquiry through to pricing, securing the project, and handing it over to the internal team. Estimating experience gained within  façades/waterproofing/roofing/cladding or any other relevant area of Construction would be ideal. Training can be given to experienced Estimators looking to develop their experience in construction.Package: Negotiable depending on experience + Benefits (Health Insurance, Pension Scheme, Performance Bonuses)Location: Hybrid role - Yorkshire Office (2/3 Days) and onsite/home (2/3 Days).The Estimator roles offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, a pension scheme, and performance bonuses. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with a focus on professional development and compliance with industry standards.Roles & Responsibilities
  • As an Estimator, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling tenders from receipt to submission, ensuring that estimates are precise, competitive, and comply with safety and insurance standards. The role involves close collaboration with the supply chain, internal teams, and clients to secure and deliver high-quality bids.
  • Take ownership of tenders from receipt to submission and securing the project.
  • Review enquiry documents to understand risks and opportunities.
  • Accurately measure drawings and create estimates using in-house software.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Ensure estimates comply with the Building Safety Act and insurance requirements.
  • Prepare and present tender submissions, attend pre- and post-tender meetings.
  • Manage time effectively to meet all deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients regarding tender statuses and negotiations.
  • Conduct site visits and issue subcontract packages for quoting.
  • Maintain organised document control and data management.
Experience & Skills RequiredMinimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.At least 3 years of estimating experience in the construction industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.Excellent communication, analytical, and numerical skills.Understanding of Fire Safety regulations, including the Building Safety Act.Desirable experience - Technical knowledge of façades, including roofing, cladding, and curtain walling, but training can be offered here to the right candidate.Desirable QualificationsLevel 3 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations.Familiarity with JCT contracts and project risk management.Experience with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu software.Previous use of SharePoint.Diversity & InclusionKingsley Consulting operates an inclusive and diverse recruitment process, whilst also ensuring our clients do the same and we can provide any advice or education to them in relation to this.
