Estimator

Our client, an expanding engineering business, seek to appoint an Estimator to their sales team. The appointed Estimator must have some experience working for an engineering or manufacturing business. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you must be familiar with bills of materials and able to understand engineering diagrams. This role is a mix of inbound and outbound communication to a range of Stakeholders so excellent written and spoken English is essential.

Estimator - Role & Responsibilities – Sales Support, Sales, Customer Services, Account Executive, Manufacturing, Engineering

- Contact customers by phone to chase progress on current and expected orders
- Write first draft quotations as per the sales teams specifications
- Liaise with field sales, field engineers and partner companies to better understand customer needs
- Work closely with the Sales Reps to understand client needs and send out targeted mailing/marketing material

Estimator  - Skills & Abilities - Sales Support, Sales, Customer Services, Account Executive, Manufacturing, Engineering

- Experience working in a sales support, estimating or account executive role for an engineering or manufacturing business
- Excellent communication and English language skills
- Previous experience of proposal writing would be very beneficial
- Attention to detail and excellent formal written English
