Are you a skilled marketplace professional with a proven track record of driving growth and fostering key business relationships within retail? This is a unique opportunity to step into the role of Head of Marketplace and lead a dynamic team focused on growth and innovation.

About the RoleAs the Head of Marketplace, you will lead a team, develop and execute strategies to enhance marketplace offerings, maximise customer engagement, and increase revenue. This role involves working closely with internal teams and strategic partners to identify growth opportunities, optimise marketplace performance, and deliver on ambitious growth targets. A key responsibility will be identifying and building relationships with new vendors to expand and strengthen the marketplace proposition.

Key Responsibilities

  • As Head of Marketplace, lead and implement a comprehensive marketplace growth strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Manage and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and high performance.

  • Identify, approach, and build relationships with new vendors to enhance marketplace offerings.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, customer needs, and emerging trends.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and suppliers.

  • Set KPIs and monitor marketplace performance, providing regular reports to senior management.

  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure effective strategy execution.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and implement innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

About You

  • 5+ years' experience in marketplace management or growth strategy, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform decisions.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience at executive level.

  • Proven ability to negotiate, build relationships, and manage supplier networks.

  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
