Key Stage 1 Class Teacher

- February 2025 start date (after half-term)

NextGen Teachers are currently working in partnership with a two-form entry Primary School in South Leeds (LS11)who are seeking to recruit a full-time Key Stage 1 Class Teacher for a contract in the new year.
This is a diverse school with over 20+ languages spoken and the school pride themselves on the diversity and inclusion of all pupils.
This role will be to teach a Mixed class of Year 1 and Year 2 for a minimum of a 1-year contract or permanent for the right teacher.
There is a strong emphasis on Speech and Language and Phonics across school as many of the children at this school are new to England/English. The school uses the Read Write Inc scheme and Teachers who are familiar with this scheme would be preferable.
Teachers applying for this position MUST have:
- Qualified Teaching Status in the UK
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the UK (M3+)
- Both ECT years completed
- Experience teaching in Year 1 and Year 2
- Extensive experience with Phonics screening and testing
- Experience with KS1 SATs
- DBS on the update service
- 2x professional references
