Academics are currently searching for an outgoing and passionate RE teacher to cover one of our highly regarded secondary schools within the North Leeds area. This is a great opportunity for an individual that is willing to make an impact on the curriculum and guide students across KS3 and KS4 to reach their full potential. The school has outstanding Ofsted reports, especially when it comes to the quality of teaching and the academic ability of the students.
This will be a long term vacancy starting from January 2025 and will run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of a direct contract from September 2025.
Key responsibilities of an RE teacher
- Controlling the classroom and ensuring that the schools behaviour policy is being followed.
- Teaching RE to a high standard to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Engaging with other members of the team, sharing ideas and contributing towards the RE curriculum.
- Track student's progress and help those who may be falling behind.
- Create a positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their religious beliefs.
Requirements to be an RE teacher.
- Right to work in the UK
- Qualified teaching status (QTS)
- Extensive knowledge and a deep understanding of RE
- A relevant degree related to RE
