What youll be doing
We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Magento Backend Developer to join my clients development team to work on existing client stores and new builds from scratch using Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce). The role is a full-time permanent position. The role is split between new project builds developing customisations and integrations, alongside working on a handful of client stores developing new features and ongoing maintenance.

You will work with internal teams including DevOps, the Account Management team, Project Managers, and Designers to ensure projects are developed according to the brief/instructions.

As a Backend Developer, youll be covering building custom modules, backend functionality, third-party system integrations through APIs, and ongoing site bug fixing and maintenance.

Experience of working within a Headless/Microservice environment will be useful including system integrations and front-end integrations but isnt a must. As the company is certified in multiple different CMSs, you will have the chance to upskill on other platforms if you want to.

What experience youll need
  • At least 3 years experience developing Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) projects.
  • Back-end development using PHP/MySQL with Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce).
  • Development of custom modules.
  • Integration and customisation of third-party modules.
  • Development of APIs and third-party system integrations.
  • Ideally experience with APIs/interfaces between Frontend & Backend (headless).
  • Basic front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Punctual and good time management.
  • Excellent communication skills to help explain complex and technical aspects simply.
  • Ability to learn from others and teach other team members.
