SHEQ Advisor

Remote working covering - North of England and Midlands area

£50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance and benefits

FullTime / Permanent

A reputable international company in the civil engineering sector is looking for a SHEQ Advisor for a permanent role, managing operations across the northern region, therefore you will need to possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel.

As a "Hands-On" SHEQ Advisor from the construction or civil engineering sector, you will be passionate about all aspects of health and safety, along with a practical approach.

This is a remote working role, however, you will be expected to travel and be on-site, therefore, please only apply if this is suitable

YOUR NEW ROLE

  • Plan inspections focusing on SHEQ compliance

  • Working with project teams to deliver the highest HSE standards on all projects

  • Managing contractors

  • Making sure safe maintenance and risk management of all plant and materials on all projects worked

  • Delivering bespoke/accredited training programmes and producing educational material

  • Equipment inspections

  • Leading incident investigations

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate

  • CSCS Card

  • Knowledge and experience of groundwork and reinforced concrete frameworks

  • Experienced in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

  • IEMA Certification (Advantageous)

  • Temporary Works Coordinator (Advantageous)

  • Experience in lifting equipment (Advantageous)

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Basic salary £50,000 - £60,000 (depending upon experience)

  • Car allowance

  • 31 days annual leave (inc BH)

  • Death In Service (4X salary)

  • 5% Company Pension / 4% Employee
