Job Role: Storage & Virtualization Specialist

Location: Hybrid - Leeds (twice a week onsite) and remotely

Salary / Rate: Permanent: £60-65,000 - Day rate of £450-550 Per day

Chapman Tate Associates highly skilled and motivated Storage and Virtualization Specialist to join our established and award-winning client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing their storage and virtualization infrastructure. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems.

You will be working on a migration project so it is imperative that you have been involved in refreshes or project overhauls of VMware based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and DAS.
  • Implement and maintain virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
  • Monitor and optimize storage and virtualization performance.
  • Ensure data integrity and availability through effective backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Technically you will have worked with the following:

  • HPE Storage Devices
  • IBM Storage i.e. Storwize (v5000), IBM FlashSyste
  • Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.

Any experience with IBM mainframe tech will be highly advantageous to your application,
