About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of History to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds on a part-time basis (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) starting from February 24th. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking history lessons that encourage students to develop a deep understanding of historical events, themes, and perspectives.

Location: LeedsContract: Part time (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)

Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong knowledge of history and the national curriculum

  • Monitor and assess student progress through assignments and exams
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up to date with developments in history education
  • Foster a love of learning and independent research skills
  • Organise or contribute to extracurricular activities related to history
  • Support students in preparing for history-related exams and coursework
