About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of History to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds on a part-time basis (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) starting from February 24th. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking history lessons that encourage students to develop a deep understanding of historical events, themes, and perspectives.

Position Details:
Location: LeedsContract: Part time (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)
Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong knowledge of history and the national curriculum

- Encourage debates and discussions on historical events and their impact
- Monitor and assess student progress through assignments and exams
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Stay up to date with developments in history education
- Foster a love of learning and independent research skills
- Organise or contribute to extracurricular activities related to history
- Support students in preparing for history-related exams and coursework
