Job Title: Technical Sales Chemist
Salary: 30-40k, Performance Bonus
Location: Leeds (Hybrid, min 3/4 days in office), Travel across UK & EU required
Our client is a start-up speciality chemicals distributor who are currently at the forefront of developing their own innovative products. This position would be suitable for an R&D Chemist who is looking to move into a technical sales role.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the company in its strategy to develop within the European market
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service
- Pro-actively search for new customers in the European market
- Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth areas, customer demands, and emerging opportunities
- Assist with tracking sales performance, analysing key metrics, and preparing regular reports on sales activities and revenue forecasts
- Produce company presentations and assist in presenting to potential and current customers
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
Essential requirements for the role:
- You have strong business acumen
- You have a Chemistry or (related science) degree (BSc/ MSc from a reputable university) and are technically proficient in this area
- You are able to conduct market analysis, marketing and sales planning
- You are highly proficient in working with technology (laptops, phones) and Microsoft software (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Advantageous/desirable:
- Direct experience in UV-curing market or have a background in coatings/inks/paints
- Masters/ PhD in Chemistry
- Proficiency with CRM and ERP software
