The Company: A very client-centric IFA business based in North Leeds who are looking to attract a Trainee Paraplanner in support of their ever-expanding, private wealth focused adviser base. You must be part-way through your Diploma (CII), hold adviser support experience and now be looking for that opportunity to step into paraplanning work across the next 6-12 months:

  • Office Location: Headingley, North Leeds
  • Hybrid/Home Working: Yes - Split between office/home working

Package: £28-30k base DOE + bonus & full company benefits

The Role: Sits within the firm’s technical research & report writing team working closely with clients to help them achieve their financial goals in a cashflow modelling/lifestyle planning and wholly consultative style of advice. Duties include:

  • Preparing and maintaining the client file and electronic records via the use of our Intelligent Office back-office system and ensuring all information meets the requirements of the Company and FCA
  • Working collaboratively with all back-office tools such as CMT, Finametrica and PAS while also ensuring all information is updated and accurate at all times - to include Service Case and Workflow management.
  • Liaising with a variety of Product Providers, obtaining all requested information in a timely and efficient manner and recording the relevant information in line with company procedures.
  • Completing portfolio valuations, basic suitability letters and dealing with a variety of client queries and financial providers on a daily basis.
  • Produce illustrations and submit accurately completed applications with/to product providers.
  • Undertaking research to identify potential solutions to meet the client’s needs and objectives.
  • Drafting the less complex financial planning reports and ad-hoc advice letters (e.g., top-ups, withdrawals, fund switches etc.) and preparing portfolio valuations for financial planners
  • Working collaboratively with both the FP’s, FPA’s and other Client Support Staff to deliver wider business goals and team objectives.

The Person: Will suit an industry experienced, private wealth biased Administrator looking for the opportunity to step into paraplanning work short-term:

  • Required: 2+ years’ IFA Administrator experience within a wealth management environment
  • Required: Studying towards the QCF level 4 Diploma (CII)
  • Advantageous: Suitability report writing exposure; likely across basic investments and pensions caseloads
  • Desirable: Intelligent Office system experience
