Production Planner required for aerospace component manufacturer based near Leeds. Monday - Friday day shift. Early finish Fridays. Up to £35K, Great benefits - bonus, pension, discount schemes etc.

Manufacturer ofarange of products from the smallest aerospace parts to large industrial gas turbine components. Part of a global group offering excellent career prospects.

The Production Planner will work across a diverse and demanding manufacturing environment to plan and produce a detailed work schedule in line with Customer demand, internal constraints and key business operations metrics.

Production Planner responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and produce a balanced manufacturing schedule to achieve customer delivery dates and internal metrics.
  • Review and report achieved production levels and weekly adherence to schedule

  • Analyse plant capacity and demonstrated production data to understand and mitigate any potential bottlenecks.

  • Facilitate the daily production meetings and line walk.

  • General maintenance of SAP data, incorporating an active role in ensuring master data accuracy

  • Play an active role in scrap reduction initiatives

Additional qualifications and experience to support your role as Production Planner:

  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the manufacturing sector

  • Excellent IT skills including a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office and Excel functions and ideally SAP (or similar ERP system)

  • Solid organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience of managing a demanding workload in accordance with tight deadlines

  • Ability and desire to contribute to the development of the company through involvement in continuous improvement projects / activities

  • The ability to demonstrate drive and enthusiasm when undertaking all work tasks
