Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop our clients HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations in the hazardous waste sector. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment, minimizing risk, and fostering a strong safety culture across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety policies in line with industry regulations (e.g., COSHH, HSE, Environmental Agency guidelines)
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Deliver HSE training to employees and promote a safety-first culture
- Lead incident investigations and drive continuous improvements in safety performance
- Ensure compliance with waste management regulations and liaise with regulatory bodies
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety
- Proven experience in a hazardous waste, chemical, or environmental services environment
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
