The Opportunity
We are proud to support a leading private hospital in Leeds during an exciting period of growth and transformation. Renowned for its commitment to exceptional care, this hospital is seeking an experienced Hospital Manager to drive its Clinical Governance agenda and ensure continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental in embedding and maintaining Clinical Governance systems to enhance patient care and safety. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Governance Leadership:
    Develop, implement, and oversee robust Clinical Governance frameworks to ensure compliance with CQC standards.
  • Internal Audits and Compliance:
    Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate clinical performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Policy and Procedure Development:
    Create, update, and manage policies and procedures to reflect best practices in clinical care and governance.
  • Governance Committees and Reporting:
    Chair Clinical Governance and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, ensuring effective communication and accountability across teams.
  • Risk Management and Quality Improvement:
    Identify, assess, and manage clinical risks, while driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Staff Training and Development:
    Support the development of clinical staff through training programs and continuous professional development focused on governance and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and partner organizations, to ensure transparency and maintain high standards of care.
  • CQC Readiness:
    Lead the hospitals preparations for CQC inspections, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

What Were Looking For

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Hospital Manager/Director in a clinical or surgical setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of Clinical Governance, Quality Assurance, and CQC standards.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing Clinical Governance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage audits, inspections, and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and engage teams.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to driving organizational change.

Desirable:

  • Nursing qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience in the private healthcare sector.
