Classroom Assistant - Leeds

Classroom Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
- Assisting pupils' achievements by monitoring, supporting and having strong communication with class teacher.
- Lead individual/small groups of children in teacher-led learning activities such as guiding reading, phonics and math's interventions.
- Maintain upkeep of classroom resources and preparation of materials (e.g. books, pencils, art supplies, games, P.E activity set up etc.)
- Support children with their independence and confidence both inside and outside of the classroom
Classroom Assistant Non-Negotiables:
- Must have recent and relevant experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills in line with the National Curriculum.
- Must have the ability to work well under the guidance of the class teacher and have good team player attributes.
- Must have a passion for education and the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
- Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one
