KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: In the heart of Burley, Leeds – 1-form entry primary school
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Duration: Until the end of the academic year (potential to extend)
Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day

PK Education is looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism and trauma-related needs in a welcoming 1-form entry primary school in Burley, Leeds. This is a long-term, temporary role with the potential to extend beyond the academic year.
The Role:
- Supporting a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them engage with learning.
- Managing significant dysregulation and challenging behaviours with patience and resilience.
- Using de-escalation strategies to support the pupil’s emotional well-being.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment to encourage progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with Autism, trauma, or SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.
- Experience in KS1 or EYFS settings (preferred).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
