Job Title: Teaching Assistant Secondary School

Working Hours: 08:15am - 3:15pm
Pay: Estimated GBP 90 - GBP 105 per day
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is working with a fantastic mainstream secondary school in Leeds to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. This is a long-term, full-time position starting after the Easter holidays. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one or small group support to students, and helping to manage classroom behaviour.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and supporting students in their learning journey. The school is supportive, and for the right candidate, this role could potentially lead to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in the delivery of lessons across various subjects.
Assist students with their individual learning needs, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
Help students stay on task and maintain positive behaviour in the classroom.
Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
Monitor and track students progress and report on their development.
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of teaching resources.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school or educational setting.
A passion for supporting students and helping them succeed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and engage students.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
