Graduate Teaching Assistant - Leeds

NextGen Teachers are proud to be working in partnership with a Primary School based in central Leeds who looking to recruit a Sports Graduate for a full-time contract in September 2025.

This is a high-performing Primary School who are passionate and enthusiastic about bringing recent graduates into the world of Education providing you with the knowledge, skills and support to thrive in a a career in education.

This is a forward-thinking Primary school with children from Nursery - Year 6 and the school are wanting to get a head start on their September Graduate recruitment. The school are looking for a Sports Graduate to help assist with PE across the whole school.

If you are a recent graduate or a soon to be graduate looking for a role in a school, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Graduate Teaching Assistant role:

  • Support with implementing appropriate activities to support children's learning and development
  • Both group and 1:1 support
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Promoting the general well being of the children
  • Observe and assess the children progress and be able to report back to the classroom teacher

Applicants must have:

  • Degree Qualified or in progress (due to finish in 2025)
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
  • Two professional references
  • The right to work in the UK
