NextGen Teachers are currently working with a Specialist Provision located in Leeds who are seeking to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistants to support there pupils with a range of Special Needs starting ideally as soon as possible from January 2025!

This provision caters for pupils across the Primary and Secondary age range who have a range of Complex needs including: Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, PMLD and who are non-verbal. Children at this school will require assistance with personal care and candidates applying for this position MUST have experience working with vulnerable people and with personal care.

This role is great for candidates from a care / support / health worker background or, who have professional or personal experience supporting children with additional needs.

The role of a Complex needs Support Assistant in this school will be to:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis.
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention.
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students.
