We are looking for dedicated and compassionate part-time Residential Support Workers to join our team in Children's Homes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and safeguard children and young people in residential care, helping them to develop, build self-esteem, and contribute positively to their families and society.
  • Act as a key worker, managing care plans, conducting risk assessments, and supporting emotional, physical, and educational needs.
  • Foster strong relationships with children through daily routines, joint activities, and positive behaviour management.
  • Assist with personal care tasks for children with disabilities or complex needs, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and feeding.
  • Collaborate with families, professionals, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children in your care.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all care provided complies with health, safety, and confidentiality standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Essential Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete this qualification within 2 years.
  • Recent experience working with children or vulnerable adults in a paid or voluntary capacity, especially those with emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children, young people, and a range of professionals.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour using restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
