A growing service business with over 9000 employees, based in the Leeds area.

Description

The Employee Relations Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Ensure HR matters are handled promptly, fairly, and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
  • Act as facilitator with managers with Employee Relations Cases e.g. grievance, disciplinary, absence and capability investigations and hearings.
  • Develop the recording and reporting of casework that is robust and links to the HR System.
  • Reduce the risk of Employment Tribunals.
  • Set the direction, establish performance measures and monitor the quality of service from our indemnity insurers.
  • Coach and mentor managers to develop their capabilities and skills around people management.
  • Act as lead on TUPE, consultations and Employment Tribunals.
  • Provide HR guidance, support and expertise to managers and employees in line with policy, practice and legislation.

Profile

The ideal Employee Relations Advisor will be/have:

  • Proven experience of providing a range of specialist ER support including performance management and case management.
  • Strong experience in leading TUPE, consultations, ACAS claims, Employment Tribunals, dealing with Trade Unions.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience of developing and streamlining processes & identifying areas for process improvement.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards.
  • Immediately available to start a new role, or on short notice.
